The best Slovak grandmaster Sergei Movsesian was grown in Georgian capital Tbilisi, but moved with his parents at the age of fourteen to Pardubice in the Czech Republic, but got Slovak citizenship in the end. In 1999 he proceeded to quarter-finals of the FIDE World Championship. His other great achievements are the victories of Sarajevo's tournaments in 2002 and 2007 or the Slovak Champion title from this year.
